<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical correction element which corrects deterioration of image forming performance caused by birefringence of an optical disk substrate, and to provide an optical element, an optical unit, an optical pickup device, and a manufacturing method of the optical correction element. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the optical correction element which corrects the deterioration of the image forming performance caused by birefringence of the optical disk substrate by comprising an orientation characteristic rotationally symmetric with respect to an optical center axis and a tilt angle characteristic which varies continuously and rotationally symmetrically with respect to an optical center axis, the optical element, the optical unit, the optical pickup device, and a manufacturing method of the optical correction element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
