PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting device that has high interlayer adhesion while having a color conversion layer of high-mechanical-strength formed by a dry process. SOLUTION: A light-emitting element includes a transparent substrate; upper and lower two layers of color conversion layers, which absorb at least a part of light of a light source so as to emit a wavelength distribution different from an absorption wavelength; gas barrier layers; and an organic EL element. Each color conversion layer is pattern-formed by the dry process so as to be discontinuous and to mutually cover a part where the color conversion layer is not formed. Upper and lower layers each in contact with each color conversion layer respectively have a part directly joined to each other in a pixel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
