摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable variable emissivity material, a method of fabricating the adjustable variable emissivity material and a method of controlling the temperature of a spacecraft using the adjustable variable emissivity material. SOLUTION: The variable emissivity material has a formula M1<SB>(1-(x+y))</SB>M2<SB>x</SB>M3<SB>y</SB>MnO<SB>3</SB>, wherein M1 contains lanthanum, praseodymium, scandium, yttrium, neodymium or samarium, M2 contains an alkaline earth metal, M3 contains an alkaline earth metal that is not the same as M2, and x, y, and (x+y) are less than 1.
