PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use viscous force and adhesion of steam passing through gaps between discs and discharged from a steam vent. SOLUTION: A steam turbine comprises a rotor 3 rotated by the steam 2 jetting from a nozzle 1 and a rotary shaft 4 provided on the rotor 3, wherein the rotor 3 is constructed by disposing the fixed discs 12 provided with the rotary shaft 4 on both sides of the plurality of circular ring shaped discs 5 stacked with the gaps 8 left therebetween, and is set so that the steam 2 jetting from the nozzle 1 passes through the gaps 8 between the discs 5, 12 and is discharged to a discharge path 11 provided around the rotary shaft 4.
