PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a compressor capable of satisfying the requirement for enhancing the sealability of a bolt hole portion opened to the outside and solving problems on the lowering of the degree of freedom of the design due to the presence of that portion. SOLUTION: The compressor has an outer shell formed by mutually connecting outer shell components each composed of a bottomed cylindrical housing and a front housing into which a drive shaft is inserted, a compression chamber forming body formed in the outer shell, and a connection element fixedly connecting the compression chamber forming body to the outer shell components. The connection element is extended only into the area in which the outer shell is present.
