FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITION AND FLAME-RETARDANT FABRIC HAVING DEODORANT EFFECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant composition which is suitable for producing a flame-retardant fabric having deodorant property and flame retardance in combination. SOLUTION: A water-based composition is prepared by mixing and dispersing a halogen-free flame retardant with a deodorizer together with a binder, wherein a particulate material having solubility into water at 25°C of≤2% is used as a flame retardant and a deodorizing component which is carried on a carrier comprising inactive inorganic porous particles is used as the deodorizer. The pH of the composition is 4-7. The silicone-coated ammonium polyphosphate or dialkylphosphinic acid metal salt is preferably used as the flame-retardant. An amine-based compound or a metallic compound which is carried on separate carriers is preferably used as the deodorizer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
