PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymeric porous membrane at low cost, excellent in thin membrane formation, and capable of easily controlling stable porosity properties. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polymeric porous membrane comprises the following process: A mutually compatibilized solution comprising a water-insoluble polymer(polymer 1), a solvent which is a good solvent for the polymer 1 and compatible with water and a second polymer(polymer 2) incompatible with the polymer 1 and compatible with water and the above solvent, is made into a filmy form on a substrate. Thereafter, 5-100 wt.% of the solvent, based on the total amount of the solvent added, is evaporated to deposit at least the polymer 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
