PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyimide powder hardly coagulating on its use and a method for producing the polyimide powder efficiently without using a solvent. SOLUTION: This polyimide power is provided by having a planar particle form and 5 to 200μm mean particle diameter, and is produced by using polyimide film as a raw material and crushing the same. The method for producing the polyimide powder is provided by crushing the polyimide film so as to make 5 to 200μm mean particle diameter.
