PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment device capable of easily discharging treated garbage without injuring a user. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment device is constituted of a garbage treatment device main body 10 equipped with a feed port 14 for feeding garbage therefrom, a treatment tank 18 for storing the garbage fed thereinto equipped with a discharge port 24 on its outer perimeter with the upper part of the treatment tank 18 communicated with the feed port 14, a lid 11 openably and closably attached to the treatment device main body 10 for closing the feed port 14 of the treatment tank 18, a discharge-port lid 26 for openably and closably closing the discharge port 24 of the treatment tank 18, a stirring means (a stirrer 27) for stirring the garbage in the treatment tank 18 and discharging the treated garbage outside the treatment tank 18 via the discharge port 24, and a garbage disposal container 33 for storing the treated garbage discharged from the discharge port 24, with the garbage disposal container 33 detachably attached thereto in such a manner that it covers the discharge port 24.
