The invention relates to an electromagnetic device and a method for the geometric rectification of stamped metal parts. The invention includes at least one block (2) having a surface with an end geometry (10) which is to be obtained on one face of an area of a part (1) to be rectified, said part being positioned between the block (2) and a complementary electromagnetic coil (5) comprising at least one winding (6) designed to generate a magnetic field configured to act on the part (1) such that it impacts against the block (2). A space is provided between each electromagnetic coil (5) and each block (2) which is no greater than ten times the thickness of the part (1), so that the object can be moved by the magnetic field.
