The multi-section sun roof for cars has a fixed bar (13) attached to the front roof panel (7) and connected by levers (14, 15) to the rear roof panel (8). The rear panel has a fixed bar (16) attached to it which is connected to a pivoting main strut (17). This is linked by a coupling bar (18) with a second main strut (19) pivoted on the fixed bar attached to the front panel.
