<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb thermal expansion of an optical sheet by deformation of a pressing body by making pressing force to the optical sheet large when a lamp does not illuminate, and small when ambient temperature rises owing to illumination and the optical sheet thermally expands. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device comprises the lamp 1 disposed on the back side of a display panel 7, the optical sheet 2 disposed between the lamp 1 and display panel 7, a box-shaped support 3 which supports the lamp 1 and optical sheet 2, and the pressing body 4 which presses a peripheral edge of the optical sheet 2 against an open edge of the support 3. At least a portion of the pressing body 4 is formed of a thermally deforming material which deforms as the ambient temperature rises to make the pressing force small, and the optical sheet 2 is enabled to slid by thermally expanding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
