<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can maintain an optimum print quality at all time and enables a user to execute a desired print setting easily for comfortable use of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: The printer periodically cleans the nozzle of a print head to maintain an optimum print quality all the time. When the printer receives a print instruction from an external device (YES in #1), the printer automatically sets print setting to the most frequently used print setting (#2). When the printer receives an instruction from the external device for changing the print setting (YES in #3), the printer changes the print setting correspondingly (#4). When the printer receives an instruction from the external device for deciding the print setting (YES in #5), the printer executes operation for printing images on a sheet 2 based on the print setting already set (#6). Thus, when the printer receives a print instruction from the external device, the most frequently used print setting is automatically set, enabling a user to easily set the print setting desired with a reduced number of operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
