PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an oil pressure to be fed to a frictional engagement element to highly precisely respond to an input torque of an automatic transmission.

SOLUTION: ECU (Engine Control Unit) executes a program including steps for: when an accelerator is operated to a prescribed operating amount or more after starting an inertia phase, estimating an input torque of the automatic transmission (S120); holding the estimated input torque again (S144); setting a command value of an engagement pressure when starting the inertia phase based on the input torque held again and setting a gradient when gradually increasing the engagement pressure in the inertia phase (S150); and gradually increasing the engagement pressure at the set gradient (S156).
