PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die assembly for molding a resin roller capable of stabilizing a position of a core metal even if a clearance between the core metal and a holding nest becomes wide, and attaining quality improvement of a product as a result, and the resultant resin roller. SOLUTION: In the die assembly for molding the resin roller forming a resin layer around the outer peripheral surface of the core metal 8 by inserting the core metal 8 in the molding dies 1, 2 and holding the both ends of the core metal 8 with the molding dies 1, 2, taper parts 12 are provided at the both ends of the core metal 8, taper parts 12 having the same angle as the taper parts 12 of the core metal are provided also at the side of the molding dies 1, 2, wherein the taper parts 12 of the side of the molding dies 1, 2 are formed at the inner parts of the holding nests 7 which hold the core metal 8, a driving device 10 transferring the holding nests 7 in the axial direction of the core metal 8 and pushing the taper parts 12 is provided, and the holding nest 7 and the driving device 10 are provided at least one side of the ends of the core metal 8.
