摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual battery power detecting device and a battery replacement timing determining method, capable of detecting the residual battery power, with high accuracy by detecting the power supply capacity of a battery, without being influenced by the drop in voltage due to the internal resistance of the battery and the deterioration in the activation of electrode plane of the battery. SOLUTION: A residual battery power detecting device 100 uses a DC/DC converter section 10 to make the output voltage of a battery 2 serving as a power supply device step up and step down and decide the power supply capacity of the battery 2. The DC/DC converter section 10 can vary, according to the fluctuations in the load, the frequency at which the output voltage of the battery 2 is switched. The residual battery power detecting device 100 includes a counter device 150 for measuring the number of times of switchings performed by the DC/DC converter section 10 within a predetermined unit time; and a residual battery power deciding means (count detection retaining device 160) for deciding the power supply capacity of the battery 2, based on the number of times of switchings.
