PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system which provides useful locational information according to a current location of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The information distribution system 10 comprises both a vehicle-mounted apparatus 20, and an information distribution server 30. The vehicle-mounted apparatus transmits the categories of current locations, road types, and locational information (POI) to the information distribution server. The information distribution server searches for POI registered in the vicinity of the current location from the categories of road types and POI and transmits them to a vehicle 13.
