PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable one to select, edit, and additionally print an image (photograph) at some future date in an automatic photo studio, and to prevent troubles related to the storage/management of the image from being given to the automatic photo studio. SOLUTION: The automatic photo studio has: an image selection means for storage for enabling users to select an image for storage; and a data processing/read and write control means for encrypting the image selected by the users for recording on a removable storage medium. When the users who bring the removable storage medium on which the encrypted image is recorded with them reutilize the automatic photo studio, the data processing/read and write control means reads the encrypted image recorded on the removable storage medium for decoding, and sets the decoded image to be an image to be processed in the automatic photo studio.
