PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems; while a conventional piezoelectric device is used to generate a reference signal for a high frequency module or the like, mounted components are protected by applying insulating resin after their mounting on the high frequency module and fixing them by a molding method, stress is applied to a lid by the insulating resin and the lid strains. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric device is composed of: an insulative substrate on the upper main surface of which an element mounting pad is formed; a piezoelectric resonance element mounted on this element mounting pad; and a lid which forms a housing space by an outer and inner surfaces in the shape of a dome having a predetermined radius of curvature so as to house the piezoelectric resonance element, and has a flange part surrounding the opening of this housing space and extending from the opening. A sealing material formed in the flange part of the lid, and an annular conductor pattern for sealing provided on the upper main surface of the insulative substrate in such a way as to face the flange part, are fixed, and the piezoelectric oscillation element mounted on the insulative substrate is housed in the housing space and is airtightly sealed.
