PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access for reading a data out of an additional location and writing the data into the additional location, without having to add hardware. SOLUTION: A method for adapting the system management bus protocol to increase the number of peripheral components to be accessed by a control processor, comprises embedding a component address with a length of up to 7 bits, in a system management bus block write, and completing system transaction, by using a second data packet with the system management bus block write and a second data packet so that data transmission can be executed between the control processor and the peripheral component having a component address.
