PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus of high stability and expandability with a suppressed increase in development and test man-hours. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus, on which a plurality of applications can be executed, has a system 1 and a main body part 3. The main body part 3 has an existing application management part 17 and existing applications 11 and 15. As for resources, hardware resources for achieving functions include a graphic part 31, a work memory space (RAM) 21, an audio reproduction part 25, a communication part 21 and a nonvolatile RAM 27. The main body part 3 further has a new application management part 35 for managing a new application NEW-A 33 as providing resource switching among the hardware in conjunction with the existing application management part 17. When a process B 5 having a new function is added to the main body part 3 having a process A, the new application management part 35 provides resource management for a new application NEW-B 37.
