PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly control supply of an adhesive even in a miniaturized adhesive applying device used for an image forming system wherein image forming equipment and bookbinding equipment are connected together. SOLUTION: While countable pellets of the adhesive are supplied, the amount of supply is detected and the supply of the pellets is controlled on the basis of the result of detection.
