PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fishing rods from dropping out from an opening part on taking out a fishing rod when a fishing rod case is in a state of being placed as lying on the ground or the leaned rod case falls down to become the state of lying. SOLUTION: This fishing rod case 1 is formed with the opening part 6 for putting the rods in and out in longitudinal direction of a long case body 2 having a fishing rods-housing part 8 on the inside from the upper end side to the lower end side, and provided with a zipper 5 for opening and closing opening part 6 by operating a slider 7. At the lower end side of the opening part 6, a sheet-formed covering body 9 for covering the opening part 6 is attached and closing the lower end side of the opening part 6 when the opening part 6 is wholly opened.
