FREE-RADICAL-SCAVENGER COSMETIC COMPOSITION

The invention relates to a free-radical-scavenger cosmetic composition. This composition is characterized in that it comprises a combination of at least three of the following free-radical-scavenger active substances; said combination comprising: 1) either ebselen; or idebenone; or a combination of the two; and 2) at least one free-radical-scavenger active substance, or at least two free-radical-scavenger active substances, so as to obtain said combination of at least three free-radical-scavenger active substances, chosen from the group consisting of: a) a substance having the following chemical formula (I) in which: R = a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated C₁-C₁₆ hydrocarbon-based chain; R₁, R₂ and R₃ are identical or different, and represent a hydrogen atom, or a methyl radical or a methoxy radical or its esters; b) an extract of Edelweiss; c) an extract of Emblica; d) N-acetylcysteine. The free-radical scavenger activity is greatly improved with the invention.
