An environment-friendly styrofoam volume reducer is provided to secure high processing efficiency by collecting and recycling harmful components included in the harmful gas and to prevent secondary environmental pollution by removing most of the harmful components. In an environment-friendly styrofoam volume reducer, a conveyor(100) is formed from the ground to an upper input port of a hopper(h) to supply styrofoam automatically. A crushing unit(200) is installed at the lower part of the hopper and composed of two transfer screws. A predetermined section of the transfer screw has a cylindrical non-screw part. Plural crushing blades forming virtual spirals are formed on the outer surface of the non-screw part. A heating unit(300) melts styrofoam by applying heat to the styrofoam crushed by the crushing unit. A molding unit(400) comprises a molding frame(420) connected to an extrusion unit(410) receiving melted styrofoam; a cutting blade(440) installed at an inlet of the molding frame and vertically moved to cut off the flow of the melted styrofoam; and an opening and closing door(430) opened and closed at an outlet of the molding frame. Plural hoods(510) are connected to an exhaust port of the harmful gas generated from the crushing unit, the heating unit, and the molding unit, in order to collect the harmful gas. Plural collecting chambers have diaphragms formed inside and collect harmful components by accelerating the harmful gas and bumping the harmful gas against the diaphragms. A cooling chamber surrounds the collecting chamber and cools down the collecting chamber by supplying a cooling medium. A bubble generator for storing the water is connected to the final collecting chamber, to collect the residual water-soluble harmful gas by the water by discharging the harmful gas into the water. |
