PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous release agent composition for die casting which exhibits excellent lubricity and release properties in both a low-temperature mold and a high-temperature mold and is excellent in paintability. SOLUTION: The aqueous release agent composition contains (A) an organo-modified silicone capable of forming a cross-linked film under heating, (B) a paintable heat-resistant silicone, (C) a higher fatty acid salt, and (D) a surfactant. The composition exhibits excellent lubricity and release properties in both a low-temperature mold and a high-temperature mold, is excellent in paintability and prevention of mold staining, and greatly contributes to the productivity improvement of die cast products.
