A display device is provided to decrease a parasitic capacitor and a driving frequency of a gate driver circuit by decreasing the number of stages in the gate driving circuit. An array substrate(110) includes N main gate lines, iN sub gate lines, M data lines, iN sub gate lines, and iN x M pixels. An opposing substrate is opposed to the array substrate. A gate driving circuit(210) sequentially outputs gate pulses to the N main gate lines. A line selector circuit(220) is arranged between the gate driving circuit and the iN sub gate lines. The line selector circuit sequentially applies gate pulses from the gate driving circuit to the sub gate lines, so that pixel rows connected to the sub gate lines are sequentially turned on. A data driving circuit applies pixel voltages to the data lines and applies the pixel voltage to the turned-on pixel row.
