An LCD device, and a method and an apparatus for driving the same are provided to prevent an erroneous operation of the LCD device irrespective of a variation in a response speed by selecting a desired response speed according to an operation condition. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a memory(500), a timing controller(400), and a data driver. The memory includes plural look up tables storing compensation data for various response speeds which are stored in a matrix formation. The timing controller receives a control signal to select one of the look-up tables, compensates for an image signal using the compensation data, and generates an image data signal using the compensated image signal. The data driver receives the image data signal to select a corresponding gamma voltage. The data driver supplies the gamma voltage to an LCD panel as a data driving signal.
