AUTOMATIC PARKING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

An automatic parking management system is provided to realize the parking management system which is automatically operated by improving vehicle number recognition capability for computerizing the parking management. A sensor unit(10) having a plurality of detection sensors calculates vehicle width data. A photographing device(11) performs vehicle number recognition. A controller(12) operates the photographing device, and provides electric power for rotating the photographing device according to the received control signal. A parking lot control PC(13) receives the vehicle width data from the sensor unit and recognizes entrance/exit of vehicle, and a vehicle model. And the PC generates the vehicle information, a control signal to be transmitted to the control unit, and the control signal for permitting the exit of calculated vehicle. A parking database(14) stores information about all vehicles based on the data transmitted from the PC. A crossing gate unit(15) controls entrance/exit according to the control signal. A parking fee collector(16) collects the parking fees according to the transmitted data from the parking database by using a traffic card, an RF tag, a credit card or cash.
