A method and an apparatus for reporting a packet loss and requesting a re-transmission of the loss packet in a wireless communication system are provided to inform a continual packet loss, and to re-transmit a loss packet in a wireless communication system. An apparatus for reporting a packet loss and requesting a re-transmission of the loss packet in a wireless communication system includes a wireless communicating unit(301) converting a wireless signal to a base band signal. The wireless communicating unit changes a transmitting data for a transmission band. A data processing unit(303) receives the base band signal, and demodulates and decodes the received base band signal. The data processing unit codes and modulates a transmitting data. The data processing unit reports error information of a received packet. A controlling unit(311) collects information of a loss packet from the data processing unit.
