A DMB terminal having a function for recording simultaneously the other channel and a method therefor are provided to record the broadcasting of the other channel except a currently receiving DMB while watching the currently receiving DMB, thereby improving user's satisfaction. A first tuner unit(51) detects and outputs DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) data on a channel selected by a user from a received DMB signal. A digital radio broadcasting receiver(50) has a second tuner unit(53) which detects and outputs DMB data on the other channel except the selected channel from the DMB signal under predetermined control. A display unit(40) displays DMB for the DMB data detected through the first tuner unit, overlays channel information for setting a channel to record on a video for the displaying DMB, and displays the channel information under the control. A second storage(25) stores DMB in recording the channel. A control unit(10) displays the channel information on the display unit when a user inputs a recording command, controls the second tuner unit to detect the DMB on the selected channel if a random channel is selected by the display channel information, and controls the second storage to store and record the DMB.
