An electrical switch (100) has at least two fixed contacts (131-133) and a moving contact lever (134) movable between an ON position making contact with the fixed contacts (131-133) and an OFF position breaking contact with one of the fixed contacts (131-133). A rocker (140) pivots in opposite directions between a first position moving the contact lever (134) into the ON position and a second position moving the contact lever (134) into the OFF position. A locking member (150) associated with the rocker (140) automatically locks the rocker (140) in each of its first and second positions. The locking member (150) is releasable to unlock the rocker (140) upon manual movement in a direction different from that of the rocker (140). |
