<p>An image processing system and a method thereof are provided to set a plurality of interest areas to an original image of an object, thereby providing a plurality of expanded images. An image data acquisition unit(110) acquires image data from the outside. A processor(140) forms first and second image signals on the basis of the image data. A display unit(150) displays first and second images on the basis of the first and second image signals. An input unit(130) receives setting information for setting a plurality of interest areas. The processor includes an interest area forming unit, a screen area forming unit, a connecting line forming unit, a first image signal forming unit and a second image signal forming unit. The interest area forming unit forms the plurality of interest areas on the first image on the basis of the setting information. The screen area forming unit forms a plurality of screen areas corresponding to each of the plurality of interest areas on the image. The connecting line forming unit forms connecting lines to connect the plurality of interest areas and the plurality of screen areas one by one. The first image signal forming unit forms the first image signal on the image data. The second image signal forming unit forms the second image signal of the second image displayed on each of the plurality of screen areas by performing image processing of expanding the image data corresponding to each of the plurality of interest areas at a preset magnification.</p> |
