<p>A method for connecting a WiBro(Wireless Broadband) service in a communication terminal is provided to offer information about an in-service area by displaying the RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) map of an area containing the current location of a communication terminal and a path from the present location to an optimal location in case of being incapable of access to a WiBro service. If a WiBro service connection request signal is inputted(201), a control part in a communication terminal detects a WiBro RSSI and judges whether a WiBro service connection is possible(203,205). If not, the control part notifies the user that the WiBro service connection is impossible(207). Then, if the user inputs an RSSI map display request signal(209), the control part grasps the present location of the communication terminal through a GPS part(211). The control part extracts the RSSI map of an area containing the present location of the communication terminal from a memory part and displays the extracted RSSI map(213,215). Then, if an optimal location search request signal is inputted(217), the control part displays a path to an optimal location from the present location(219). If the communication terminal moves along the displayed path(221), the control part displays the moving path of the communication terminal on the RSSI map(223). If the communication terminal enters into a WiBro service-possible area(225), the control part makes a WiBro service connection(227).</p> |
