PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device excellent in attaching/detaching operability and the exchangeability of toner container, automatically and accurately detecting the existence of toner in plural toner containers in advance at a low cost with hardly causing trouble, so that the carrying of toner is not interrupted, preventing the toner from scattering at the time of exchanging toner container and saving resources. SOLUTION: This toner supply device is constituted of a toner container insertion part 2 for inserting plural toner containers 1, a toner existence detection means 5 in a toner accumulating and storing part 4 for detecting the existence of the toner T accumulated in the storing part 4 by driving the container 1 by a toner container driving means 3, a mixture carrying means 6 forcibly carrying the accumulated toner T, and a cover opening/closing means 12 setting a replenishment state where the toner T is discharged from the container 1 for a specified time after driving the container 1 for the specified time in a state where the toner T is prevented from being discharged from the container 1 after forcibly carrying the toner T. |
