A method and an apparatus for transmitting data of a mobile communication terminal are provided to prevent a multimedia data from being copied by a receiver without permissions during transmitting the multimedia data. An apparatus for transmitting data of a mobile communication terminal includes a device authentication key managing unit(111) having a device authentication key. The device authentication key has an encoding key encoding a predetermined data and a decoding key decoding an encoded data. The device authentication key managing unit extracts the device authentication key comprised in a received multimedia packet by using the device authentication key. A data encoding unit(112) encodes a multimedia data transmitting according to an image communication protocol. A data decoding unit(113) decodes a decoded multimedia data. A packet creating unit(114) creates a multimedia packet by coupling the device authentication key with the encoded multimedia data.
