<p>Articles (2) like filter cigarettes are conveyed cross-axially with a drum (6) that rotates on an axis of rotation (4) and carries the articles on its peripheral surface. Energy-rich beams (10a,10b) perforate the articles and point radially outwards starting from the axis of rotation. Outside the drum's periphery, the beam is deviated in a direction running parallel to the drum's periphery. An independent claim is also included for a device for perforating rod-shaped articles in the tobacco-processing industry.</p> |
