A system for operating a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) SFN(Single Frequency Network) and a method thereof are provided to generate reception state analysis information linked with map information by analyzing reception quality information received from a DMB signal, so as to offer a real-time reception state from at least one interested transmitting station, thereby stably operating the DMB SFN. An SFN monitoring device(110) receives DMB signals broadcasted from plural transmitting stations, and measures pre-selected reception quality for the signals to generate reception quality information. An SFN analysis device(120) analyzes the generated reception quality information to generate reception state analysis information linked with one of map information and transmitting station information. A display device(140) displays the reception state analysis information.
