A device for preventing vibration of a long bar mounted on a chuck of an NC(Numerically Controlled) lathe is provided for turning and cutting a long bar without accumulating errors due to a gap resulting from rotational vibration by supporting the center of rotation of the bar with a roller and absorbing the rotational vibration with the roller. A device for preventing vibration of a long bar includes a plate-shape guide block(22) having a circular hole(18) at the center of the guide block to receive a bar to be machined, a pair of rollers(12) which supports the bar vertically with bearings coated with urethane and installed to rotate freely, a pair of rollers(11) which supports the bar horizontally with bearings coated with urethane and installed to rotate freely, L-shape levers(14) where rollers supporting the bar are mounted at an end of each lever and where extension bars(15) are connected to each lever, extension bars mounted to the guide block, connection holes(17) to connect the extensions bars to pulleys(23), and bushings(16) located in the connection holes to minimize friction between the extension bars and the guide block.
