Dental material containing a heat shrinkable component

A dental material (I) containing a filler (FL) and a polymerizable component (PM) additionally includes a component (A) which contracts on heat treatment. Independent claims are included for: (i) the production of dental restoration components, by: (a) applying a dental material containing FL and PM to a model, covering the model with (A) and heat-treating; or (b) applying a cap of (A), containing FL and PM to a tooth model and heat treating; and (ii) the use of the heat shrinkable component (A) for the production of dental materials and/or dental restorations.
