A refrigerator is provided to employ a joint type mechanical time relay unit instead of a solenoid, thereby minimizing noise and cost incurred for delay of sealing of a duct cap and simplifying the structure. A refrigerator includes a panel(51) formed with an ice outlet(52) connected to an ice duct, a duct cap(58) for opening or closing the ice duct, a rotation shaft(70) connected to the duct cap, a lever connected to the rotation shaft to rotate the rotation shaft, and a joint element(74) connected to the lever rotatively and having a friction part(78) being in contact with a friction surface(54) of the panel, and an elastic element(80) supporting the joint element to the lever elastically.
