A mobile commerce system using a mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to improve user convenience by enabling a user to capture information of desired goods with a phone camera of the mobile terminal and transmit the captured information to a search server, displaying goods information searched from the search server in a screen, and processing a purchase decision signal received from the user. A mobile terminal(2) requests search of a building shape or goods information by capturing an image of an object around a user with a camera(1) and transmitting the captured image to the mobile network system, receives/displays the building shape or goods information corresponding to a search result, and performs EC(Electronic Commerce) if necessary. The mobile network system(3) performs the search corresponding to the building shape or goods information, which is included in a search request signal received from the mobile terminal, from a search database, and transmits the search result to the mobile terminal. The mobile network system processes an EC signal set by the searched object.
