A ceramic having functions of inhibiting growth of algae and attachable microorganisms and purifying water is provided to obtain substantially increased treatment capability as compared with conventional chemical methods, water treatment apparatus, or other materials, prevent the generation of secondary pollution by using pure natural raw materials, obtain excellent ecosystem restoring capability, and enable the ceramic to be installed simply, efficiently and economically. A ceramic having functions of inhibiting growth of algae and attachable microorganisms and purifying water is prepared by pulverizing ocher, china clay, mica, tourmaline, titanium dioxide, and zeolite into powders, preparing silver nanoparticles, and mixing 30 to 40 wt.% of the ocher powder, 20 to 30 wt.% of the china clay powder, 5 to 13 wt.% of the mica powder, 1 to 5 wt.% of the tourmaline powder, 1 to 7 wt.% of the titanium dioxide(TiO2) powder, 2 to 9 wt.% of the zeolite powder, and 3 to 12 wt.% of the silver nanoparticles. The ceramic is prepared using one selected from gravels, sands, stones, tiles, and bricks. |
