A liquid crystal display apparatus and an electronic apparatus are provided to make driving voltages for the transmission region and the reflection region equal to each other to drive the apparatus by one liquid crystal driving voltage without using a driving circuit. A liquid crystal display apparatus(1A) wherein a transmission region(A) and a reflection region(B) are disposed in parallel includes a first substrate(101), a second substrate(102), and a liquid crystal layer(103) placed between the first and second substrates. The second substrate has a counter electrode(120), an interlayer insulating film(123), and a pixel electrode(125) to form a fringe field for driving molecules of the liquid crystal. At least one parameter relates to the interlayer insulating film formed on the second substrate different between the transmission region side interlayer insulating film and the reflection region side interlayer insulating film, so that driving voltages for the transmission region and the reflection region are substantially equal to each other. Thereby, the apparatus is driven without using a driving circuit.
