A teflon insulating washer for a glow plug and a glow plug having the teflon insulating washer are provided to reduce manufacturing cost and to improve durability by sintering the insulating washer after molding process. A glow plug comprises a hollow housing, an axle, an insulating washer(30), a fixing nut, and a heating unit having a coil unit. The shaft is connected with one side of the housing, and receives power from external. The fixing nut fixes the shaft to the housing. One end of the heating unit is connected with the shaft and the other end of the heating unit is grounded to the housing and generates heat by using applied differences. The insulating washer has an insert unit(32), an expansion piece(34), and a through hole(31). The insert unit is inserted to the housing. The expansion piece has a larger external diameter than the insert unit. The expansion piece is integrally formed with the through hole where the shaft to be inserted.
