A post apparatus for installation of road traffic facilities is provided to minimize traffic congestion by reducing the occupation of a road at installation work, repair work or cleaning work on a road and shortening working hours, to make work simple in a site and to cut down on the cost required. A post apparatus for installation of road traffic facilities comprises a post composed of a main pillar installed to the ground, a connection coupled to the main pillar and a holder by a hinge and an auxiliary pillar(30) spaced out from the main pillar with an empty structure and coupled to the connection, a holder(20) coupled to the upper part of the post to be foldable by a hinge to be folded or unfolded in a horizontal direction, a screw bar(45) installed to the inside of the post and connected with a driving unit(40) to make rotation, a moving member(50) composed of a moving nut(51) fitted to the screw bar to be movable and one or more winding rollers(53) coupled with the moving nut and moving in the longitudinal direction of the screw bar according to the rotation of the screw bar, a driving member(52) connecting the moving member and the holder and folding the holder from the hinge according to the movement of the moving member, a safety coupling and separating device(60) installed on the top of the post and the top of the holder to couple or separate the post and the holder stably and composed of a main rod(61) coupled with the screw bar to make rotation and provided with a coupler(62) and a locking rod(63) coupled with the holder and coupled or separated to or from the coupler according to the rotation of the main rod, and a speed reducer(70) installed between the screw bar and the main rod to reduce the rotation speed of the screw bar and composed of a first bevel gear(71) coupled with the screw bar to make rotation, a second bevel gear(72) engaged with the first bevel gear to make rotation and a rotary rod(73) connected with the second bevel gear and connected to the main rod to supply rotary force to the main rod.
