A method for improving traffic delivery performance of an IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.11e QoS(Quality of Service) MAC(Media Access Control) in a wireless network is provided to quickly transmit a high priority AC queue by moving a frame to be transmitted to an upper AC queue. When frames are requested from an upper protocol(201), a proper AC number is determined(202), and the AC number is inputted to a corresponding AC(Access Control) queue(203). When a best-effort frame is to be transmitted(204), whether a frame of an AC2 queue exists is determined(205). When more than one frame exists in the AC2 queue, a priority raising process is not performed(207). When no frame exists in the AC2 queue, whether a frame exists in an AC3 queue is determined(206). When at least one frame exists in the AC3 queue, the frame is moved to the AC2 queue(208). When no frame exists in the AC3 queue, the priority is moved to the AC3 queue with the highest priority(209). Frames are transmitted in respective AC queues(210). When the frame transmission is successful, next frame is transmitted(214). When frames are not transmitted, whether a retransmission is required is determined(212) and the retransmission is performed when necessary(213).
