<p>A method and an apparatus for analyzing a location are provided to collect all location registration messages generated on a mobile communication network and recognize the location of an MS, thereby providing quickly the LBS(Location Based System) service of the MS and reducing the load of the entire location recognition system. An apparatus(300) for analyzing a location comprises a location data collecting unit(310), a location data analyzing unit(320), a location information providing unit(330) and a location information storing unit(340). The location data collecting unit receives the location registration information of an MS(Mobile Station) from a BSC(Base Station Controller). The data analyzing unit analyzes the collected location registration information and extracts the location information of the MS. The location information providing unit provides the location information in receiving the location information of the MS. The location analyzing apparatus is linked with an operation and maintenance apparatus connected with the BSC. The location information storing unit stores the extracted location information for the MS and provides the location history information for the MS.</p> |
