Method for area prediction of stressed state of collectors and fluid traps of oil and gas fields in terrigenous deposits includes implementation of analysis of geo-physical information on presence of indications of abnormally high stratal pressures in geological section, reconstruction and zoning of territory by level of catagenetic transformation of deposits, implementation of complex of seismo-survey in well and (or) surface version, processing of results obtained and representation of those as geo-seismic models, plotting by chosen survey indications sections and maps of propagation by area and depth of interval of stressed fluid trap with abnormal values of porous pressures for placed upper and lower rocks, respectively, saturated with fluid at stratal and porous pressures close to hydrostatic pressure and stressed collector with abnormal values of stratal pressure. Reconstruction and zoning of territory by level of catagenetic transformation of deposits is implemented with separation of thickness of rocks compacted to level of sub-zone of mezocatagenesis МК, in its boundaries one determines interval where kinematic and dynamical parameters of seismic waves are abnormal with identification to stressed fluid trap above which collectors with fluid pressures close to hydrostatic one are placed, and under stressed fluid trap – collectors with abnormal fluid pressures.
