The method for the early diagnosis of the diabetic nephropathy in the children with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus provides for Dopplerography measuring the blood flow rate in the renal blood vessels (large, segmentary, and interlobular). The state of the renal parenchyma is also assessed. The characteristic of the initial stage of the diabetic nephropathy are the following features: the thickening of the renal parenchyma, the increase echogeneity of the pyelocaliceal system, the decreases maximal systolic rate of the arterial flow (Vmax), the end-diastolic rate (Vmin), the peak gradient of the rate, the pulsativity index (РІ), and resistance index (RI) in the renal blood vessels. |
